ASUS ROG Ally is powered by AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor and is priced at around RM3,130

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has announced the launch of its first gaming handheld, ROG Ally, driven by the cutting-edge AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor for 1080p gaming. The ROG Ally will be available worldwide on June 13, 2023, for $699 (~RM3,130), with pre-orders starting on May 11, 2023.


The ROG Ally is powered by an all-new Ryzen Z1 Series processor from AMD with 2 different models where the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor features 8 cores and 16 threads; and the AMD Ryzen Z1 feature 6 cores, and 12 threads. It also comes with 16GB LPDDR5 6400 MHz RAM and 512GB PCIe Gen 4 storage to ensure the game runs smoothly on the handheld.


Moreover, the ROG Ally is also equipped with a 120Hz FHD (1080p) touchscreen display with AMD FreeSync Premium technology to reduce screen tearing in fast-paced games. In addition, Both models support AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution and AMD Radeon Super Resolution to deliver excellent performance and stunning visuals in AAA and indie titles.


The ROG Ally can even support the XG Mobile external GPU for up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 Laptop GPU turning the ROG Ally into a true gaming powerhouse and allowing gamers to enjoy AAA games at 4K with ray tracing and DLSS 3.


The ROG Ally (Ryzen Z1 Extreme, 512GB) will be available via pre-order starting on May 11, 2023, for US$699 (~RM3,130) at BestBuy.com. Note that the ROG Ally might come to Malaysia in a different price range due to taxes and all.
