ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) has launched the ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG, its second 27-inch 4K OLED gaming monitor. Positioned below the flagship ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM, it targets a broader audience for gaming, content consumption, and daily use.
The monitor features 4th-gen ROG QD-OLED technology, delivering sharp visuals, clear text, and infinite contrast with a 166 PPI pixel density. It includes ASUS OLED Care Pro with a Neo Proximity sensor to prevent burn-in, and firmware updates for this feature will be available in April 2025. Additionally, ROG OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0 minimizes flicker during gaming. Other key features include Auto KVM, a USB-C port with DP Alt mode and 90W Power Delivery, and Aspect Ratio Control.
ASUS OLED Care Pro
The ASUS OLED Care Pro suite now includes the Neo Proximity Sensor, which detects the user’s distance and switches to a black screen when they leave, preventing burn-in. It instantly restores content upon return, with adjustable detection range settings. A firmware update in April will enhance its precision for the ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM and Strix OLED XG27UCDMG.
Additional screen protection features include pixel cleaning, a screen saver, and taskbar detection. The ASUS DisplayWidget Center software provides quick access to these settings. The ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG also comes with a 3-year warranty.
ROG OLED Anti-Flicker 2.0

This technology minimizes onscreen flicker for comfortable gaming and viewing experiences. It leverages an advanced luminance compensation algorithm to dynamically boost pixel brightness during refresh rate fluctuations, resulting in 20% less flicker compared to previous-generation panels for more uniform visuals without causing input lag and slowing the refresh rate. Plus, a Refresh Rate Cap feature limits the monitor refresh rate to reduce onscreen flicker, offering three preset ranges (High/Mid/Off) to suit individual preferences.
Ready for gaming and entertainment
Priced at $999 (MSRP), the ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG delivers a premium OLED gaming experience with a 240Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time for ultra-smooth gameplay. Its 166 PPI pixel density ensures sharp text, while the latest ASUS DisplayWidget Center offers auto firmware notifications and monitor settings import/export.
For connectivity, it includes DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C (DP Alt mode) with 90W Power Delivery. Designed for gamers, it features a slim, frameless panel, ROG Aura Sync lighting, a ¼-inch tripod socket for streaming setups, and a space-saving stand with a built-in phone holder.
Availability & Pricing
ROG Strix OLED XG27UCDMG will be available end of June 2025 in Malaysia.
