Asus has recently announced a series of servers and server motherboards powered by the Intel Xeon E-2300 processors. The latest processors can support up to eight cores, native PCIe 4.0, and 3200 MT/s memory speeds with the Intel Software Guard Extensions.
The Asus RS300-E11 server system and the P12R series server motherboards are powered by the Intel C256 and C252 chipsets to deliver a balance between performance and cost. Both include the ASUS ASMB10-iKVM server management solution and the ASUS Control Center IT management software for improved remote management capabilities.
The RS300 -E11-RS4 and RS300-E11-PS4 servers are suitable for SMBs (server message block), remote offices, and some critical applications in edge monitoring services. The RS300-E11 is a 1U single-socket server system that supports VMware, Red Hat, and Ubuntu for virtualization with the Linux OS. Each server features four DIMM slots, two PCIe 4.0 slots, compatibility with four 3.5-inch or 2.5-inch storage drives, one M.2 slot, dual Ethernet
ports, and different power supplies.
The P12R-M, P12R-E, and P12R-I server motherboards will be available in microATX, ATX, and Mini-ITX form factors. They are built with thermal efficiency and offer dual 10 Gbps or 1 Gbps Ethernet, compatibility with different storage drives, and USB 3.2 connectivity.
