ASUS Announces a Foldable OLED Laptop and More at CES 2022

At CES 2022, ASUS announced its Incredible Unfolds consisting of the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED, Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition, Zenbook 14 OLED, ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 and ExpertBook B5, ProArt Display PA169CDV, as well as ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and TUF Dash F15 laptops.


Zenbook 17 Fold OLED (UX9702)

As the world's first 17.3" foldable OLED laptop, the Zenbook 17 Fold OLED features a 2.5K touchscreen display that folds in the middle to create two seamless 12.5" 1920 x 120 displays. Attached with the full-size ASUS ErgoSense Bluetooth keyboard and touchpad, the laptop can be used in multiple modes: PC, laptop, tablet, on-screen keyboard, as well as Book and Extend.


The OLED display covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and is PANTONE validated. The laptop is powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i- U-series processors and Intel Iris X graphics. It also comes with 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports that support fast charging of its 75Wh battery.


Other features include TUV Rheinland certification, Windows Hello, Dolby Atmos, Dolby Vision, and a new Intel Visual Sensing Controller chip that can detect users' presence. The Zenbook 17 Fold OLED will be available for purchase sometime in the middle of this year.


Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition

The exclusive Zenbook 14X OLED Space Edition is designed in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the ASUS P6300 laptop's 600-day space mission. Coming with unique space-themed design details and a special Zero-G Titanium color finish, the laptop features the futuristic ZenVision, a 3.5" OLED companion display erected externally on the lid that showcases customizable messages and animations.


Powered by up to the 12th Gen Intel Core i9 H-series processor and Intel Iris Xe graphics, it is equipped with 32GB of RAM and a PCIe 4.0x4 SSD. The 16:10 OLED HDR touchscreen display has a 90Hz refresh rate and 2K resolution. It supports DisplayHDR True Black 500 and TUV Rheinland, and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.


Zenbook 14 OLED

Available in Aqua Celadon and Ponder Blue color options, the 14" Zenbook 14 OLED has a 2.8K OLED NanoEdge display with a 90Hz refresh rate, 550 nits of brightness, and a 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. It supports Dolby Atmos, Harman-Kardon sound system, and Intel Wi-Fi 6E.


The 1.39kg laptop has an all-aluminum chassis housing the 12th Gen Intel Core processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, along with up to 16GB of RAM, PCIe 4.0 SSds, and a 75Wh battery. It also offers a full set of I/O ports, including 2 Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports.


ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 (CX5601)

The ASUS Chromebook Flip CX5 features a 360° ErgoLift hinge that can adjust the three-sided 16-inch NanoEdge display to any angle. For productivity, it is powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and Intel Iris Xe graphics, paired with 16GB of RAM and a dual-band Intel Wi-Fi 6E.


ASUS ExpertBook B5 Series (B5402C and B5402F)

The ExpertBook B5 series is available in both traditional clamshell and 360° convertible designs for the ultimate flexibility. The new ExpertBook B5 and ExpertBook B5 Flip now have a bigger 14" display. Both models feature an Intel Core i7 processor with Intel Iris Xe graphics, as well as 48GB of RAM and Intel Wi-Fi 6E.


The new B5 series also include AI noise cancellation, dual-SSD RAID support, ASUS NumberPad, a built-in fingerprint sensor, optional face-login IR camera, TPM 2.0 chip, and MIL-STD 810H US military standard durability.


ASUS ProArt Display PA169CDV

The 15.6" ProArt Display PA169CDV has a 4K UHD display on an IPS panel that's designed for professional creatives. It has DisplayHDR 400 certification, Delta E<2 color accuracy, 10-bit color, and is PANTONE validated and Calman verified. It covers 100% of the sRGB and Rec.709 color gamuts.


The laptop is compatible with the ProArt Pen, which uses Wacom EMR technology to provide a natural handwriting feel. The pen does not need charging and is also compatible with ASUS Dial.


ASUS TUF Gaming F15 and F17

The TUF Gaming F15 and F17 gaming laptops feature the 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700H chipset and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 graphics with 140W max TGP. To keep the system cool, it comes with an updated 84-blade design with each fan blade coming in different thicknesses and a 0.1mm tip. The 2022 version of TUF laptops have high refresh rate display options, including up to FHD at 300Hz for FPS gameplay or QHD at 165Hz for more immersive gaming experiences.


TUF Dash F15

The TUF Dash was first launched last year and this year's model comes with improvements while maintaining the thickness of the chassis under 20mm. It is powered by the 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12650H processor and up to Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 graphics with MUX Switch. It is also equipped with 4800MHz DDR5 RAM and dual PCIe 4.0 SSD slots.


The Tuf Dash F15 has a 165Hz QHD display with a 100% coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut. For connectivity, it offers Thunderbolt 4 and USB Type-C (for power delivery up to 100W) ports.
