Asia Pacific Predator League 2020 Postponed, to Return in Spring 2021

Earlier this February, it was announced that the Asia Pacific Predator League would be postponed due to health concerns pertaining to the COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Acer has confirmed that the league will return in spring 2021, instead of June or July this year as previously forecasted.

“The postponement of the Asia Pacific Predator League, instead of a cancellation, demonstrates Acer’s commitment to the gaming community. With the ongoing Covid-19 situation, we made the decision to move the competition to Spring 2021 for the safety and best interests of the tournament’s competitors, fans, spectators and staff.”

- Andrew Hou, President of Acer Pan Asia Pacific Regional Operations

Approximately 20,000 tickets have already been sold for the tournament, which was originally scheduled to take place in February this year at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, Manila.

Acer has assured that the same qualifying teams from the local preliminary competitions will attend the finale in Spring 2021, whereas the event has been renamed as Predator League 2020/2021 with a prize pool of US$400,000.

All contestants will be directly contacted regarding important updates as well as the confirmed date of the tournament. Everyone else can stay tuned for the latest developments on the Asia Pacific Predator League 2020/2021 on Acer's Facebook and Instagram pages instead, while FAQs have been addressed in a Facebook post here.
