Apple's M2-Powered MacBook Air and MacBook Pro will Arrive in July

With the launch of its new M2 chip, Apple has unveiled its MacBook Air and a 13" MacBook Pro, both powered by the new chip.



The new MacBook Air features a notched 13.6" Liquid Retina display with 500 nits of brightness and 1 billion colors. It houses a web camera that has been upgraded to 1080p. The laptop comes with a larger function key row and now supports MagSafe charging. I/O ports include 2 USB-C ports and a 3.5mm audio jack. It can last for 18 hours of video playback. The device now has a newly designed quad-speaker system built into the frame.



The MacBook Air powered by the M2 chip will be available in Space Gray, Silver, Midnight Blue, and Starlight Gold. There will be two variants available, one with an 8+256GB configuration for RM5,499 while the other with 8+512GB for RM6,699.



Meanwhile, the new MacBook Pro 13 remains the same except that it's now equipped with the M2 processor. It has the same 13.3" IPS Retina display with 500 nits of brightness and 2560 x 1600 resolution. It also includes a touch bar on top of the Magic Keyboard, a 720p camera, 2 USB-C ports, and a 58.2Whr battery that gives it up to 17 hours of wireless web browsing.



The MacBook Pro 13" will come in Space Gray and Silver at RM5,699 and RM6,499 for the 8+256Gb and 8+512GB models respectively. Both the M2 MacBook Air and MacBook Pro will be available starting next month.
