After weeks of rumours and speculation, Apple Pay has officially arrived in Malaysia.
This information comes from AmBank’s official website, which advertised Apple Pay as a new payment option.
The website also included an unlisted Youtube video showcasing how to use Apple Pay with Face ID.
In its FAQ, AmBank said there is no credit limit for Apple Pay transactions and that there’s no limit for online transactions.
However, Apple Pay isn’t currently available in Malaysia on IOS 15.6 yet. It will most likely be added over the coming weeks in a future IOS update.
UPDATE: Apple Pay is now available for use on IOS. It currently only supports AmBank, Maybank and Standard Chartered bank cards.
