Aloft’s Bloom & Blight Now Live – Funga, Fauna, Flora Fun in the Clouds

Aloft®, the serene sandbox survival game set among floating islands, has launched its biggest Early Access update yet — the Bloom & Blight Update. Developed by Astrolabe® Interactive Inc., this major update reimagines and refines nearly every aspect of the game, deepening exploration and player progression. The Bloom & Blight Update transforms Aloft with a richer, more dynamic world built on an upgraded world-generation system that sets the stage for future growth. Players can now explore denser island clusters filled with ancient ruins, friendly critters, and the new Life Sapling islands, where ecosystems can be healed through engaging flora, fauna, and funga restoration minigames.

New progression systems let players harness the power of Life Trees, Knowledge Stones, Corruption Anomalies, and Lost Anchors to advance through distinct tech trees in knowledge, research, and sailing. A network of wind lanes enables faster travel between island clusters, while new weapons — Windstone and Serrated Bone tiers — help battle fresh corruption threats, Sportox and Flogade.

Since launching in Early Access in January 2025, Aloft has grown through three major updates — Critters & Wonders, Puzzles & Pyrologics, and now Bloom & Blight. With this latest expansion, the game delivers a deeper sense of purpose and seamless flow between exploration, progress, and adventure.
