In today's "It Lies Within" launch, Acer has announced a host of new Predator laptops and gaming monitors. Below is a quick rundown of the new devices and their features:
Predator Triton 500 SE
The Predator Triton 500 SE is powered by up to the 11th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics, paired with up to 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4 storage. Weighing 2.4 kg and measuring 19.9 thick, it features a 16" 16:10 WQXGA display with an 87% screen-to-body ratio. It boasts up to 12 hours of battery life and uses Acer's Vortex Flow design including a 5th generation custom-engineered AeroBlade 3D fan for cooling.
Other features include two USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports which support Thunderbolt 4 and DisplayPort, SD 7.0 card reader, Intel Killer E3100 Ethernet Controller, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i, and Killer Intelligence Center.
The Predator Triton 500 SE powered by the 11th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics is available at RM12,999. Meanwhile, there's another variant with the 11th Gen Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics priced at RM8,999. Both versions can be pre-ordered starting from 30 October.
Predator Helios 500
Powered by up to 11th Gen Intel Core i9-11980HK processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 graphics, it comes with up to 64 GB of DDR4 RAM and up to dual 1 TB PCIe NVMe Gen 4 storage in Raid 0.
The 17" laptop offers two configurations of display panels:
The i9 variant is equipped with a 4K mini LED UHD 120 Hz panel.
The i7 variant is equipped with a 360 Hz FHD panel with a 3 ms response time.
It also features custom WASD keys that can be swapped between Acer's Racing keys and MagForce keys for a more precise gameplay experience. As for cooling, it uses Acer's Vortex Flow and a 5th generation AeroBlade 3D fan. For connectivity, it has an HDMI 2.1 port, mini-DP 1.4, USB-C Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, and an RJ45 port. Other features include PredatorSense, Intel Killer E3100G Ethernet Controller, and Intel Killer Wi-Fi 6 AX1650i, and Killer Intelligence Center.
The Predator Helios 500 is priced from RM13,999 and can be pre-ordered from 30 October onwards.
Predator Helios 300
The Predator Helios 300 is powered by up to 11th Gen Intel Core i9 processor and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 graphics, along with 32 GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe NVMe SSD, as well as an additional HDD slot and an M.2 slot that supports two PCIe NVMe SSDs in Raid 0.
Available in 15.6" and 17.3" displays, the laptop offers two display options with one equipped with a 165 Hz QHD IPS panel that covers 100% of DCI-Ps colour gamut and the other equipped with a 360 Hz FHD IPS panel that covers 100% of sRGB colour gamut.
The 17" variant is priced from RM7,999 while the 15" variant starts from RM6,299. Both versions are now available for pre-order.
Predator XB323QK NV
The 31.5" UHD IPS gaming monitor has a 144 Hz refresh rate and covers 90% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut with Delta E<1 colour accuracy. It is also VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified. The monitor allows gamers to tilt, pivot, swivel, and adjust the height according to their preferences.
It is now available for pre-order at RM4,299. Consumers who purchase the monitor before 6 October will receive free peripherals worth almost RM800, including the Predator Galea 311 headset, Predator Aethon 300 keyboard, and Predator Cestus 310 mouse.
Acer Nitro XV282K KV
As part of the "Design for Xbox" programme, the gaming monitor comes with a special green cable management hook. It features a 4K UHD IPS panel that supports AMD FreeSync Premium technology, and has a 144 Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time. It also covers 90% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified.
The Acer Nitro XV282K KV is now available at RM3,299. Consumers who purchase it before 6 October will receive a free Predator Aethon 300 keyboard and Predator Cestus 310 mouse worth RM589.
From today until 6 October, consumers who pre-order the Predator Helios 300 will receive free gifts worth more than RM1,000, including the Predator Gaming Utility Backpack, Predator Galea 350 Headset, and limited-edition merchandise. Those who purchase the i9 variant of the Predator Helios 300 will get an additional Predator Gaming Chair worth RM1,299.
Meanwhile, consumers who purchase the Predator Triton 500 SE and Predator Helios 500 from 30 October until 6 November will receive all the free gifts mentioned above, worth more than RM2,000.
Alongside the launch, Predator Malaysia has also introduced the Predator Tribe for all gaming enthusiasts to be a part of the Tribe. The pioneers of the Tribe, also known as the Predator Tribal Guardians, are Ai Gaming, ChuChu Gaming, MasterRamen, and Spartanker.
In conjunction with the announcement of Predator Tribe, Predator Malaysia has collaborated with local artist Vince Low to the first collection of merchandise with the Predator Tribal Guardians. Available in 4 different designs that represent each Guardian, the collections are priced at RM400. They can be purchased on the Acer Malaysia Estore and official online store on Shopee from 30 October onwards.
Predator Malaysia has also partnered up with Team Secret to induct one of their Malaysian teams into the Tribe. Additionally, the company has also teamed up with Lugiami to support female gamers in the community.
In conjunction with the Predator launch, Acer Malaysia has announced the Predator Championship 2021 - Community and Corporate, for students and employees in corporates to compete in Valorant or Mobile Legend: Bang Bang to win a total prize pool of RM57,000.
