A First Look at the Galaxy Z Flip7: Refining the Pocketable Foldable!

On July 9, at Galaxy Unpacked 2025 in Brooklyn, Samsung Electronics introduced the Galaxy Z Flip7 and Galaxy Z Flip7 FE, showcasing the brand’s continued innovation in foldable technology.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 pushes the boundaries of flip-style smartphones with a sleek, compact design, enhanced AI features, and the largest cover screen ever seen in the Flip series.

Design: Larger Window in a Slimmer Frame

The Galaxy Z Flip7 debuts with the largest cover screen and slimmest design in the Flip series to date. Its standout 4.1-inch FlexWindow, with ultra-thin 1.25mm bezels, nearly covers the entire front (excluding the camera area), allowing users to check messages, manage schedules, and access AI features — all without unfolding the phone.

Unfolding reveals a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, with both screens supporting up to 2,600 nits of brightness, a 120Hz refresh rate, and Vision Booster for excellent visibility even in bright sunlight.

At just 6.5mm thick when open, 13.7mm when folded, and weighing 188g, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is the most compact and portable model yet. It features a sturdy Armor Aluminum frame and a slimmer, reinforced Armor FlexHinge for improved durability without sacrificing elegance.

Powering the device is a 4,300 mAh battery — the largest in the Flip lineup — offering up to 31 hours of video playback, ensuring extended use throughout the day.

Multimodal AI and One UI 8: Ready-to-Go Personal Assistant

In a world where AI is part of everyday life, the Galaxy Z Flip7 takes it a step further with a more intuitive and seamless experience. Powered by One UI 8, optimized for the larger FlexWindow, and advanced multimodal AI, the Flip7 enhances how users interact with their device.

Planning a trip, for instance, is more convenient — users can view their schedules via Now Brief on the FlexWindow. A long press on the power button activates Google’s Gemini Live, providing real-time assistance like restaurant tips, weather forecasts, and outfit suggestions using the camera.
