ASUS ExpertBook B1: The Efficient Workhorse

ree

We begin with the ASUS ExpertBook B1 (B1403CVA), which runs on an Intel Core 5 Series 1 processor. It features a sleek Gentle Grey plastic chassis that blends well in professional environments. Despite its plastic build, the B1 is impressively durable, meeting MIL-STD 810H military-grade standards. However, the surface tends to attract fingerprints — a minor issue seen across the entire ExpertBook B-series.

Weighing just 1.33kg, the ASUS ExpertBook B1 is lightweight but slightly thick at 19.7mm. It’s built for durability with reinforced hinges and I/O ports. Port selection is generous — even including a LAN port — so no dongles are needed. As the most affordable model in the series, its display is average, which is expected at this price point.

ASUS ExpertBook B3: Enhanced Durability

ree

Next up is the ASUS ExpertBook B3 (B3405CCA), which upgrades to an aluminum lid for enhanced durability and a more premium look. It also features a better display with a taller 16:10 aspect ratio and runs on the newer Intel Core Ultra (Series 1) “Meteor Lake” processor, offering improved performance and an 11 TOPS NPU for AI tasks.

ree

Although slightly heavier than the B1 at 1.42kg, the B3 is slimmer at 19mm and still manages to include a collapsible LAN port to maintain its sleek profile. Overall, it remains a highly portable 14-inch laptop, even if it’s a bit thicker than ASUS’s latest ultraportables.

ASUS ExpertBook B5: For Mobile Professionals

ree

The ASUS ExpertBook B5 (B5405CCA) stands out with its full aluminum build, offering a sleek and lightweight design at just 1.37kg and a slim profile starting at 17.5mm. Powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra (Series 2) processor, it features upgraded CPU and GPU architectures and a faster 13 TOPS NPU. Overall, the B5 offers a more premium experience in both performance and design.

Selecting the Right ASUS ExpertBook for Your Enterprise

ree

As expected, the 2025 ASUS ExpertBook B-series models vary in price. The ExpertBook B1 (B1403CVA) starts at RM4,799, while the ExpertBook B3 (B3405CCA) begins at RM5,599 — a justifiable RM800 increase for its upgraded chip and metal lid. The ExpertBook B5 (B5405CCA) sees a steeper jump, starting at RM7,199, with the reviewed Core Ultra 7 255H variant priced at RM7,999 — a significant RM2,400 difference from the B3.

ree

When it comes to value, the 2025 ASUS ExpertBook B-series is clearly designed for businesses, not casual users. These laptops cater to companies needing strong after-sales support, access to ASUS’s full IT management tools, and customizable configurations — features not offered in the more budget-friendly ExpertBook P-series or consumer models.
