Youth is more than a phase of life; it's a promise of revolution. So it was proved in Week 2 of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Malaysia Season 15, as the league's youngest-ever player, 16-year-old Danish "Error 404" Tahqif bin Abdullah, made his debut to lead Team Vamos (VMS) to a resounding clean sweep victory against Ocean Black. The Jungler from Melaka's Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the Match display brought stability and flair to VMS—much welcome after VMS' shaky performances in Week 1, where they lost to Selangor Red Giants OG Esports (SRG) and just barely edged past Team Rey (REY).

Error 404's Season 15 debut at 16 years and 0 months dethroned Muhammad Syafizan Najmi "Garyy" Kamarulzaman, who held the previous record as the league's youngest Jungler after his debut with Reborn in Season 7 at the age of 16 years and 5 months.
Error 404's main character moment led fans to compare him to Naruto Uzumaki, the lead protagonist of the anime franchise, NARUTO; Week 2 was NARUTO-themed to pre-heat the upcoming collaboration between NARUTO and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) on 2 May. Like Error 404, Naruto was 16 years old when he learned Sage Mode and saved the Hidden Village from the villain, Pain. He then went on to help the Shinobi Alliance win the war. Fans are hoping that Error 404's debut will be the revolution that VMS needs to put behind them disappointing performances in Week 1, during the IESF World Esports Championship (WEC) 2025 national qualifiers, and at the M6 World Championship.

SRG maintained their unblemished start to Season 15 after dispatching both DX Soul (DXS) and Monster Vicious (MV) in straight 2-0 games. MV has built a reputation as the league's Giant Slayers, being the only team to defeat SRG during the Season 14 Regular Season. However, MV were unable to replicate their monstrous feat from last season despite a valiant showing due to an SRG in red-hot form.
"There are a lot of things that we've been experimenting and trying and there's still a lot of cards that we can show. This patch is something that we really like." Teased SRG Head Coach, Michael "Arcadia" Angelo Bocado, after his team's victory over MV. "In this patch, I believe the meta is very broad, very big, and there are a lot of heroes that you can play."

Week 2 saw Homebois (HB) secure victories over JP Niners (JP) and DXS to keep the pressure on the league leaders. The Season 12 champions will rue dropping a game again DXS after an error-strewn display, but have momentum on their side now, having bagged three wins out of all three matches played this season so far.
The end of Week 2 sees the unbeaten SRG on top of the Regular Season standings on 9 points. HB on 8 points and TDK on 6 points round out the top three teams so far.

MPL Malaysia will return with Week 3 from 2 to 4 May. Fans will be eagerly looking forward to Day 2 on 3 May, when Malaysia's recent international representatives will go head-to-head. MLBB Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024 champion, SRG, will face off against Malaysia's representatives for WEC 2025, Todak (TDK). This follows the match between Homebois, who represented Malaysia at the M5 World Championship, and Team Rey.

MPL Malaysia is supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS), Rakan Muda, Esports Integrated (ESI), the Malaysia Esports Federation (MESF), and Persatuan Stadium Malaysia (PSM).
