The Xiaomi Pad 5 has also made its debut in the Malaysian market with a starting price of RM1,399.
The tablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 860 processor with a maximum clock speed of up to 2.96 GHz. It features an 11" WQHD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate. It houses a 13 MP single rear camera and an 8 MP front-facing camera. It supports both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The tablet also sports an 8729 mAh battery.
For higher productivity, the Xiaomi Pad 5 is compatible with the Xiaomi Smart Pen, which weighs only 12.2 g. The pen has a 4096 pressure sensitivity and a 240 Hz touch sampling rate. It will be sold separately, and its price and availability will be revealed soon.
The Xiaomi Pad 5 is available now on Lazada at RM1,399 (6+128 GB) and RM1,599 (6+256 GB). It will come to Shopee, Authorised Mi stores, and other official retailers at a later date. It comes in two colour variants: Cosmic Gray and Pearly White. Consumers who purchase the tablet today on Lazada will get to enjoy an early bird price at RM1,299 for the 6+128 GB variant.
