Xiaomi is Official Smartphone Partner for PUBG Mobile Esports 2021

Xiaomi will be the official smartphone partner for PUBG Mobile Esports 2021 in Southeast Asia and Europe, with Xiaomi Malaysia and Singapore being the partners for PUBG MOBILE National Championship 2021.

The partnership is meant to highlight the Redmi Note 10 5G, which became available in Malaysia on May 28. Additionally, Xiaomi is partnering with RSG Malaysia to "produce engaging content and showcase exciting activities for Mi Fans and PUBG Mobile enthusiasts".

There will also be a PMNC Fight for Redmi Note 10 5G Showmatch, with audiences voting for their favourite PMPL players to battle with the public. The showmatch will take place from June 19 to June 20 and from July 3 to July 4, with 16 teams competing on each day. The parties involved include “selected PMPL players, Mi Fans and Xiaomi staff”. One winner will be selected each day and be rewarded with a Redmi Note 10 5G. The showmatch’s registration period will begin on June 4 on Mi Community and it will be broadcast live on Xiaomi Malaysia and PUBG Mobile Esports Malaysia’s Facebook pages.

“As the official smartphone partner for PMNC, we are excited to see PUBG MOBILE professional players, Mi Fans and our Malaysian and Singaporean customers experience casual gaming on the flagship-level capabilities of the truly affordable 5G-ready midrange king, the Redmi Note 10 5G,” said Country Manager of Xiaomi Malaysia and Singapore Nicolas Shi.

PMNC 2021 is meant to be the qualifier for the fourth season of PUBG MOBILE Pro League Malaysia/Singapore. The qualifying round will be held from June 1 to June 18 in Malaysia and from June 21 to June 24 in Singapore. Teams and players from the squad and solo categories respectively who qualify will head on to the Zone Finals for a chance to get a place at the Grand Finals. The top four Malaysian teams at the Grand Finals will qualify for PMPL MY/SG Season 4, while the teams in fifth to 10th place have to fight again to qualify as the Wild Card team.

Meanwhile, the Singapore Qualifier’s top 10 teams will battle with six Wild Card teams from PMNC in the PMPL MY/SG Season 4 Qualifiers Playoff. The top four from the playoff will get to play in PMPL MY/SG Season 4.

Update: The article previously stated that Xiaomi was sponsoring Team RSG. This has been amended.
