The LEGO Adventures with Luigi Starter Course Announced with 2-player Mode
The Lego Group has announced The LEGO Adventures with Luigi Starter Course for LEGO Super Mario universe, which will enable two-player play with the LEGO Mario figure. Additionally, there will be new expansion sets and other add-on packs as well.
The two-player interactive experience makes use of a Bluetooth connection. As the press release explains, “Once connected via Bluetooth, 2-player adventures with LEGO Mario and LEGO Luigi (or any combination of the two figures) are made possible. Now, children and fans can play as a team, collect extra digital coins by doing in-sync actions like walking, flipping and jumping, or work together to defeat enemies, complete challenges, share rewards or even by changing up the play and competing against each other.”
For the expansions, there will be four of them including Bowser’s Airship Expansion Set, which involves battling Kamek, a Goomba, and a Rocky Wrench before tangling with the ship itself. The ship can be arranged in a flying mode or a folded out course mode. Other expansions include Boss Sumo Bro Topple Tower, Lakitu Sky World, and Reznor Knockdown.
There will also be two new Power-Up Packs and ten Character Packs, with the former consisting of Frog Mario and Bee Mario. Meanwhile, the Character Packs include Galoomba, Parachute Bob-omb, Crowber, Boo, Amp, Torpedo Ted, Bony Beetle, 1-Up Mushroom, Scuttlebug and Swoop.
The LEGO Adventures with Luigi Starter Course will be available from August 1 and will have a recommended retail price of RM259.90. Pre-orders are already available at LEGO Certified Stores, LEGOLAND, Toys ‘R’ Us, the official LEGO Store on Lazada and Shopee, and here.
For the other products, the Power-Up Packs and Character Packs will cost RM49.90 and RM16.90 respectively. The Expansion Packs are priced as follows:
