Super Smash Bros creator Masahiro Sakurai has revealed his new YouTube channel.
Titled Masahiro Sakurai on Creating Games, the channel will focus on topics like game development and “what makes games fun”, according to Sakurai. He said that he plans to keep the videos short and joked that people shouldn’t expect him to start streaming.
As of writing, the channel already has several videos uploaded including games Sakurai has worked on and another regarding Kirby, another franchise he created. Sakurai said he will also show some development builds of Smash Bros as well as design documents he has written, giving a rare behind-the-scenes look at the game’s development.
It is not often for game developers to create YouTube channels to discuss in-depth the game they’ve worked on. So fans of Super Smash Bros and Sakurai should keep an eye on his channel for more juicy content.
