Activision Blizzard has announced that Season Six of Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and Warzone will be released on 7 October. The new season will welcome new characters and bring changes to Verdansk and others.
In a blog post on the official Activision website, the developers reveal some changes and what you can expect from the upcoming season. The first changes that will take place at Warzone are:
New Points of Interest - Fissures crack open the Stadium and Downtown, strange and previously unknown WWII-era bunkers are revealed.
New Gulag - A return to a familiar 1v1 combat arena.
Regiment Transition Begins - Update your active Regiment by October 5 prior to a freeze to prepare for shift to the new Clan system.
Meanwhile, Black Ops Cold War will also be receiving new goodies, including:
“Forsaken,” the Final Chapter of Black Ops Cold War Zombies - Experience the epic conclusion to Black Ops Cold War Zombies, complete with a new Perk, a new Wonder Weapon, new Main Quest, and more.
Additional Zombies Updates - PhD Slider makes its debut, and the Hand Cannon and ARC-XD arrive as Support Weapons in Outbreak and round-based maps.
Treyarch Black Ops Cold War Zombies Recap - Prepare for a deeper dive into the events leading up to “Forsaken” from Treyarch.
Onslaught - Prepare for Onslaught Elite and the journey deep into Adler’s mind.
The new season will also add new Operators: Alex Mason and Fuze, along with 5 new weapons, including a lever-action Shotgun and a reliable Assault Rifle within the Battle Pass system, as well as a new melee weapon that can be earned through completing challenges. There will also be new prestige levels. Additionally, a Halloween event is scheduled to take place from 19 October - 2 November.
