Samsung Opens One UI 4 Beta Programme for Its Galaxy S21 Users

Today, Samsung launched its One UI 4 beta programme for Galaxy S21 smartphones, including the Galaxy S21 5G, Galaxy S21+ 5G, and Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G. One UI 4 will be based on Android 12, introducing new and improved customisation and privacy capabilities.

The beta programme allows Galaxy S21 users to try out the operating system's upgraded features ahead of its official release. Samsung Galaxy S21 series 5G in selected regions will be able to register for the programme via the Samsung Members app. Information and feedback gathered from the programme will be used to fine-tune the operating system before its official launch later this year.

The One UI 4 will see a variety of theme options that let users adjust the look and functionality of their devices to configure the home screen, icons, notifications, wallpapers, and many more. It will also expand on Android 12's permission options, allowing users to view their permissions history from the last 7 days instead of 24 hours. Users can further check the current data usage of both the permissions and apps.
