Samsung Malaysia announces the launch of the Galaxy A22 5G, an entry-level smartphone from its extensive Galaxy A range.
The new device is equipped with a triple-camera module, which consists of a 48 MP main camera, a 5 MP ultra-wide camera, and a 2 MP depth-sensing camera, as well as an 8 MP selfie camera. The main camera, using Tetra Binning technology, is ideal for capturing clearer and brighter photos during the day or night through Night Mode and Scene Optimizer. The smartphone also supports Selfie Focus and Face Retouching Effect features, which offer four face modes (only available in camera mode) including smoothness, tone, jawline, and eyes.
The Galaxy A22 5G features a 6.6” Infinity V display with a FHD+ screen and a 90 Hz refresh rate for a smoother viewing experience. It also supports One UI Core 3.1 along with a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. For audio, Samsung uses Dolby Atmos.
The smartphone is powered by an Octa-Core processor and sports 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal memory upgradable to 1 TB with MicroSD storage sold separately, as well as a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 15 W fast-charging.
The Galaxy A22 5G comes in Violet, Gray, and Mint colour options with a recommended retail price of RM999. Consumers will receive a free Soft Clear Cover worth RM39 when they purchase the smartphone from now until August 31 2021.
