Riot Games' Partnership with Louis Vuitton Continues in Style This Year

As the most popular esports event of the year, it's no surprise that the League of Legends World Championship has continued to take new strides in style. Revealed last year, the one-of-a-kind Louis Vuitton Trophy Travel Case will be on display at this weekend's final Worlds match, alongside the legendary Summoner's Cup.

“The Summoner’s Cup has become a global icon symbolizing the mastery of the pro players who hoist it and the passion of millions of fans who have fueled LoL Esports for the last decade. Louis Vuitton has a tradition of honoring the most prestigious trophies in the world of sports, and we are honored that the Summoner’s Cup is no exception.”

- Naz Aletaha, Head of Global Esports Partnerships and Business Dev, Riot Games

This year, the ongoing partnership has expanded to include K/DA, the game's virtual kpop girl band consisting of Ahri, Akali, Kaisa, and Evelynn. The quartet was decked out in LV threads during their pre-concert promotions around Shanghai, as was on-stage performer and musician, Lexie Liu, during her show-stopping performance at the Worlds 2020 Opening Ceremony.

Over 3.2 million people have registered in the hopes of being one of the 6,000 fans attending the event live in SAIC Motor Pudong Arena, where they will watch SUNING (China) and DAMWON Gaming (South Korea) face-off in the grand finals for the honour of hoisting the highly coveted Summoner's Cup in victory.
