The Nespresso Vertuo Next is a fantastic capsule coffee machine with a sleek and compact design that could fit anywhere in the kitchen. Especially when it comes with a unique barcode system that automatically adjusts its settings to ensure the perfect brewing you take.
Design
The Nespresso Vertuo Next is the slimmest coffee maker among the Vertuo lines in contrast to the Vertuo Pop, and Vertuo Plus. It is available in a range of colors such as Cherry Red, White, and Matt Black.
There's also a "serious-looking" model available which is the Vertuo Next Premium, both share the same design and functionality; whereas the Vertuo Next Premium's lid is covered with premium rose gold finishings. If you opt for the fashionable addition, you can get the Vertuo Next Premium for topping up another RM100, at a price of RM1,299 in total.

Besides that, the Vertuo Next's water tank (1.1L) is located at the back of the machine, making it a sophisticated coffee maker for your countertop. However, the Vertuo Next does not come with a milk frother. Thus you might need to purchase the Aeroccino for lattes or cappuccinos.
And again, there's only one button on top of the machine, in the middle of the chrome-plated lever. As mentioned above, the Vertuo Next coffee maker is equipped with a unique barcode reading system that automatically adjusts for each cup of coffee so it's unnecessary to allocate for a few more buttons.
It comprised 3-levels of fixed-height cup support for different cup sizes.

On top of that, the Nespresso Vertuo Next also comes with a total of 12 capsules in the introductory box that contains the basic coffee drinks for you to try out before picking different flavors from the store.

Nespresso Vertuo Next Companion App
The Nespresso Vertuo Next does support a companion app that you'll pair your smartphone with the coffee maker via Wi-Fi & Bluetooth connection. However, you will not be able to remotely adjust or make a coffee within the application. Instead, you can only check on the water level, and water hardness, or run maintenance on the machine.

I would say performing maintenance is the only function you probably use a lot on the companion app, from Descaling, Rinsing, and Emptying the machine by following the simple instructions.

Performance
The Nespresso Vertuo Next can be easily operated by just inserting any flavor or cup size on the capsule holder after opening up the hood. Press the hood down gently and shut the lever to the left (until it matches the lock icon).
After that, adjust the cup support to the preferred height of your cup size and press the only coffee button on top of the hood and wait for about 30 seconds for the Vertuo Next to brew the perfect coffee for you.
Likewise, it is also convenient when it comes to coffee capsule disposal. Whenever you open up the hood, the used coffee capsule will be "yeeted" into the used capsule container at the back which can store approximately 9 capsules depending on the capsule size.
Still, it would be good if you clear the container frequently as the little grains of the coffee might attract ants. In addition, you can slide out the entire drip tray to pour out the used coffee capsules instead of picking them one by one, making the cleaning process fast and easy.
Buy or no buy
The Nespresso Vertuo Next is an easy-to-use coffee maker for beginners who want to start drinking coffee. Although this coffee machine does not include a milk frother to make a latte, mocha, or cappuccino, so you'll need to consider the expense of the Aeroccino to not start with an intense coffee like espresso.
Of course, the integrated barcode in each coffee capsule is indeed an intellectual way to brew coffee, but you won't be getting along with only one cup of coffee per day, so you'll need to stock up on buying the capsules periodically. I would suggest getting the coffee subscription to save more instead of buying it individually.
