In mid-January, Ragnarok X launched the War of The Chosen, where players are asked to vote for their favorite team of eight to advance to the Qualifying Phase. The top 8 most popular teams will qualify and fight in a five-man PvP battle. The winning team of each server will then move on to the Elimination Phase, where they are then divided into 8 groups to battle for the finals.
As the event is coming to an end, players can look forward to a Lunar New Year event happening from 27 January - 9 February. Drying the event, players will join the Tiger King in special quests to take down the boss, MVP Nian.
Boss Nian will appear in Payon ever 3 hours along with a group of Baby Nian. To defeat the boss, players can use firecrackers or Eddga's Knuckle. Players who defeat Boss Nian, Baby Nian, or mini bosses will receive "Forest Partner Badge" currency, which can be used to exchange for event exclusive rewards. Players can so visit the Tiger King daily to join the Hat Guessing game and unlock rewards, including the Nian card, a Tiger Tail decoration, and the "Treasure Tiger", a +6 speed mount that's usable in battles.
