At long last, the PlayStation 5 prices have finally been revealed.
Announced during Sony’s recent PS5 Showcase, the PS5 Digital Edition will retail for $399.99 (~RM1,659) while getting a PS5 with an Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive will cost $499.99 (~RM2,073). For comparison, the Xbox Series X costs $499 (~RM2,079) while the Series S costs $299 (RM1,247~).
Sony’s next-gen console will first be launched in the U.S., Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and South Korea on 12 November. 19 November will see the console head to the rest of the world, including Europe, the Middle East, South America, Asia, and South Africa. However, there is no PS5 launch date for China yet.
Sony also wrote in a 16 September blog post that pre-orders will be available "as early as tomorrow" at select retailers.
