Overwatch League Player Gets Fired On Twitter

An Overwatch League player got fired from his team, but to add insult to injury, he only found out from a tweet.

Sang-min “Myunb0ng” Seo, a support player for New York’s Overwatch League team, found out he was no longer part of the team when his organisation, NY Excelsior, posted a farewell tweet on their account. Normally, this wouldn’t be out of the ordinary, but judging from Myunb0ng’s response, it doesn’t look like he was informed.

As if this couldn’t get any more ridiculous, the organisation welcomed its new support player, Soon-jae “Ansoonjae” Jae hours before dropping Myunb0ng.

New York Excelsior later apologised to Myunb0ng and fans for the situation, assuring that this mistake will not be repeated.

Imagine if you were fired from your job because your boss decided to announce on Instagram Stories, I really can't imagine how I would react if that happened to me.
