New Tekken Game Teased At EVO 2022

Bandai Namco surprised fighting game fans today with a teaser for a new Tekken project at EVO 2022.

After the Tekken 7 Grand Finals, Bandai Namco shared a new trailer of its next Tekken 7 update. At the very end of the trailer, footage of Kazuya Mishima throwing his father off a cliff from the original Tekken was shown.

After zooming in on Kazuya’s low-polygon face, the trailer changes to a modern version of the character with a single glowing eye and the words “Get Ready” appearing on screen.

While there has been no official word from Bandai Namco regarding the teaser, many fans have speculated that the trailer was teasing Tekken 8. However, the teaser using footage from the original Tekken from 1994 has some people believing it might be a remake or a reboot.

Whatever the case, fans can only wait in anticipation for Bandai Namco to release more information regarding the next Tekken project.
