Netflix Geeked Week 2022 is in full swing as it has completed 3 out of 5 days of its schedule. Alongside new series and films, Netflix has revealed teasers for a live-action remake of One Piece, the upcoming Resident Evil series, a documentary series for its successful animation Arcane, and an anime based on Cyberpunk 2077.
One Piece
Prepare to set sail with Luffy (played by Iñaki Godoy) and his "Straw Hat Pirates" in the live-action adaptation of One Piece. The series cast includes Langley Kirkwood, Celeste Loots, Alexander Maniatis, Craig Fairbrass, Steven Ward, and Chioma Umeala.
Resident Evil
Netflix's Resident Evil series will include monsters like zombie dogs, giant spiders, Lickers, and what appears to be the Tyrant. The series will follow the lives of Jade and Billie Wesker in New Raccoon City and lives after the zombie outbreak. The Resident Evil series will premiere on 14 July.
Arcane: Bridging the Rift
Arcane: Bridging the Rift is an upcoming documentary series focusing on Riot's relationship with Fortiche Productions, the animation studio behind the series. The documentary will also reveal how the two teams partner to bring Piltover and Zaun to life, as well as the animation's story, characters, and style. Arcane: Bridging the Rift will premiere on 4 August.
Cyberpunk: Edgerunners
Based on CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077, Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a 10-episode standalone anime that tells the story of a street kid trying to survive in a futuristic metropolis. To survive, the kid chooses to become an edgerunner or cyberpunk. The anime will premiere in September 2022.
