MAGGI Announces Wild Rift Tournament Sponsorship and More

MAGGI has announced that they are sponsoring the Summer and Fall 2021 seasons of ESL Mobile Open Presents League of Legends: Wild Rift SEA ICON Series Malaysia.

That’s not the only Wild Rift-related plan MAGGI has for this year either. It’s also bringing back the MAGGI HOT CUP Tournament for 2021, with the “community-focused tournament” to feature Wild Rift instead of Mobile Legends this time. The first community tournament qualifier for the MAGGI HOT CUP Tournament will be held from May 21 to May 22, while the second qualifier will be held from May 28 to May 29.

MAGGI HOT CUP Tournament qualifier champions will get a prize of RM500 and will be able to play in the Influencer Showdown, which has the participation of streamers Fattahzie and Biu Biu. The Influencer Showdown will take place during the ESL Mobile Open Presents Wild Rift SEA ICON Series Malaysia Summer Season Playoffs on June 5 and June 6.

Additionally, there will also be a collaboration with ESL Malaysia to organize a Caster Search, with sign ups beginning on May 8. Those who get selected will get to commentate future MAGGI HOT CUP Community Tournament broadcasts throughout the rest of the year. “Wild Rift fans who are interested in proving themselves as commentators and shoutcasters of the game should definitely grab this opportunity and sign up,” says the press release.

Wild Rift, the mobile version of Riot Game’s League of Legends MOBA, released in open beta in Malaysia and several other Asian countries in October 2020, while the American open beta launched in March this year. Wild Rift’s first international tournament is set to kick off later this year.
