LG has announced that the LG Wing will be its first Explorer Project device.
Explorer Project is a new mobile category from LG. It is “aimed at discovering new ways to interact with mobile devices, focusing on the evolving and ever-changing needs of today’s consumers and challenging established user norms,” says the press release. “LG’s boldest, newest smartphone will deliver a new and different form factor and mobile experience that would be impossible to create with conventional smartphones.”
On 1 September, LG released a teaser video for their upcoming device. It shows what seem to a pair of swivelling screens that can be adjusted into a cross shape. Back in May, The Verge spotted reports by Korean publications that the Wing would have a main 6.8-inch display and a 4-inch screen for multi-tasking. You can see how it’d apparently look like below (thanks, ETNews):
The full reveal for the Wing will be on 14 September at 10am EDT, or 10pm Malaysian time.
