Legends of Runeterra Debuts In-Game Seasonal Tournaments

If you're a Legends of Runeterra player looking for some competitive action, this one's for you. Riot Games has just announced Seasonal Tournaments as part of the Monuments of Power expansion. These tournaments will be held at the end of each bimonthly season, and will offer players a competitive experience accessible directly from the game itself.

The first tournament will be held over 2 days starting on 6 December 2020, where 1,024 of the top players from each of LoR's four regional servers will duke it out over the grand prize pool of US$10,000. Additionally, players will have a chance to earn an exclusive card back by winning four matches within the tournament. Prefer to watch? No fear, as the final matches will be broadcast live around the world.

“Seasonal Tournaments are the apex of competition in Legends of Runeterra, exclusively for the best of the best. We know our players have been eager for an accessible, competitive experience, and we can’t wait to see who comes out on top in the first Seasonal Tournament.”

- Executive Producer Jeff Jew.

To qualify for Seasonal Tournaments, you can choose from one of two routes: Ranked and Gauntlets. The top 700 Ranked players on each server at the end of the season will automatically qualify, while 324 more players can battle through the Last Chance Gauntlets for a spot.

If you plan on earning a spot in the upcoming Seasonal Tournament, then you'd better get grinding now!
