The iPhone 12 will allegedly be out this October, according to a recent leak. In addition, it seems that the Apple Watch and new iPad will be released pretty soon as well.
According to leaker Jon Prosser, who previously got the iPhone SE’s announcement date correct, Apple fans can expect to pre-order the iPhone 12 on 12 October, the same date as an iPhone 12 event, with shipping beginning on 19 October.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 12 Pro’s pre-order and shipping dates will be sometime in November, although exact dates are still unknown. As for the Apple Watch and new iPad, they’ll apparently be out earlier, on 7 September.
In a follow-up tweet, Prosser said, “With the staggered release of iPhone 12 and uncertainty of final dates for Pro models, there’s a chance that the dates could slip/change.” Prosser told Forbes earlier this month that the reason for the staggered release is to “try to line them up the best they can before announcement”.
Although Prosser has a pretty good accuracy track record, according to Macworld, it’s still best to take all rumours with a pinch of salt. And interestingly, Bloomberg News’ Mark Gurman, who focuses on Apple news, responded to Prosser’s new leaks with a thumbs down emoji. Guess we’ll have to wait and see if Prosser is right.
