Intel Teases Core i9-12900KS Alder Lake CPU with up to 5.5GHz Boost Clock

Intel has teased its upcoming highly binned Core i9-12900KS Alder Lake chip with a boost clock of up to 5.5GHz.

In a tweet, Intel shows a screenshot of one of the CPU cores clocked at 5.5GHz while the rest of the P cores clocked at 5.2GHz. On the other side, the E cores clocked at 4.0GHz.

The Intel Core i9-12900KS will be the flagship chip in the 12th Gen Alder Lake CPU lineup. It will feature 8 Golden Cove cores and 8 Gracemont cores for a total of 16 cores (8+8) and 24 threads (16+8).

Since the Core i9-12900K carries a PL2 power rating of 241W so we expect the Core i9-12900KS will surpass this. And, it will surely go over the former's price of US$589 (~RM2,469). We'll most probably get the full details of the Intel Core i9-12900KS chipset at CES 2022.
