HUAWEI has announced the Huawei P50 and P50 Pro phones, which are powered by the Snapdragon 888 4G and sport a double ring-structure Dual-Matrix Camera design.

The P50 comes with an 2700 x 1224 OLED screen with an up to 90 Hz refresh rate and 300 Hz touch sampling rate, and offers 8 GB RAM + 128/256 GB ROM configuration options (which can vary depending on location).

For its cameras, it has a rear setup with a 50 MP True-Chroma Camera, a 13 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera, and a 12 MP Telephoto Camera, while the front has a 13 MP punch hole camera.

Meanwhile, the P50 Pro has a 2700 x 1228 OLED screen with an up to 120 Hz refresh rate and a 300 Hz touch sampling rate, as well as a 3D curved glass display. The phone has an 8 GB RAM + 256 GB ROM configuration (which, again, is noted to vary based on location).

For photo-taking, the P50 Pro features a True-Chroma Image Engine for “the highest possible colour accuracy” and a Super Colour Filter System for “103 percent” better light intake for the main camera. The rear camera setup is composed of a 50 MP True-Chroma Camera, a 40 MP True-Chroma Camera (colour), a 13 MP Ultra-Wide Angle Camera (Mono), and a 64 MP Telephoto Camera for its rear, while the front has a 13 MP punch hole camera with auto-focus.

Battery-wise, the regular P50 has a 4,100 mAh battery with 66 W HUAWEI SuperCharge support, while the P50 Pro supports both 66 W HUAWEI SuperCharge and 50 W Wireless HUAWEI SuperCharge. Elsewhere, both devices have an IP68 rating, a USB Type-C earjack, a USB Type-C 3.1 port, Bluetooth 5.2, and Harmony OS2. The P50 sports Golden Black, Cocoa Gold, and Pearl White colour options, while the P50 Pro comes in Golden Black, Cocoa Gold, Pearl White, and Charm Pink.
