Hitman 3 Shows Off PSVR-exclusive VR Gameplay in New Trailer

Hitman 3 has released a new trailer showing off its PSVR-exclusive VR gameplay.

The VR mode was previously announced in an August 2020 trailer, with the PlayStation blog offering a preview back in September 2020, but the new Hitman 3 – Sandbox VR trailer offers a more extensive look at it. As the trailer shows, players will be able to pull off interactions like shooting at cameras, dragging bodies, or messing with a piano lid’s prop to off an unfortunate NPC in first-person.

There’ll be a good deal of sandbox maps to explore and sneak around in as well, as the PSVR version will include the maps of Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 like the non-VR version of the game.

The last Hitman title to feature a first-person perspective was 2006’s Hitman: Blood Money. While it was an interesting feature in that game, it obviously doesn’t quite compare to the immersion a VR experience offers here, especially with the larger, more detailed maps of the new Hitman games.

Hitman 3 is set to release on January 20.
