Google is now offering a VPN service as part of its Google One subscription service, which offers extra cloud storage space and other features.
The company says that the new VPN by Google One will be available with Google One’s 2TB storage tier, and is built into the Google One app. If your plan is shared with family members, they can make use of the VPN as well.
“We already build advanced security into all our products, and the VPN extends that security to encrypt all of your phone’s online traffic, no matter what app or browser you’re using,” said Google in a blog post “The VPN is built into the Google One app, so with just one tap, you can rest assured knowing your connection is safe from hackers.”
VPN by Google One will first roll out on Android devices in the US via the Google One app before expanding to other countries and to iOS, Windows, and Mac “in the coming months”.
