Gigabyte has launched the P1000GM 1000W 80 Plus Gold certified power supply unit, which is designed to meet the needs of high-end gamers and overclockers whilst maintaining a compact form factor.
The P1000GM is fully modular, which means only the necessary cables have to be installed, thereby reducing the footprint and improving heat dissipation. Six 6+2 pin PCIe connectors are provided to support large-wattage graphics cards, as well as two 4+4pin CPU connectors to support mid- to high-end motherboards. It also has a single +12V rail design so users do not have to plan the wattage distribution.
Gigabyte has improved the design and adopted new high-quality materials, so the overall size of the 1000W power supply can be reduced from 16-18cm to a mere 14cm. The P1000GM's main capacitors are made in Japan, and it is designed with OVP/OPP/SCP/UVP/OCP/OTP current and voltage protection, plus a 10-year warranty for peace of mind.
The Gigabyte P1000GM is priced at RM739 and will tentatively be available starting from 18 January. For more details, you may visit the official product page here.
