GIGABYTE has announced the new Z590 VISION motherboards for creators which power Intel’s 11th Gen processors. They include the Z590 VISION G, Z590 VISION D, and Z590I VISION D.
The Z590 VISION series maintains the white look of other VISION motherboards and comes with an up to 12-phase direct power design and “highly durable” DrMOS for power delivery. Thermal management is handled by a design featuring fins-array, direct-touch heat-pipe, large heat sinks and Smart Fan 6, and GIGABYTE says that its solid power pin connectors will reduce excess heat during high workloads while ensuring stable power delivery as well. The motherboards have embedded memory circuits in the PCB ground layers and a metal outer layer for reduction of electromagnetic interference.
Some of the Z590 VISION motherboards feature Vision LINK technology that is based on USB Type-C for data and video transmission and up to 60W of power delivery. Others have a more advanced version called Vision LINK TB that is based on Thunderbolt 4 instead and offers a daisy chain function to support up to 10 devices as well.
Other features of the series include the Intel 2.5Gbps Ethernet controller, Intel Wi-Fi 6 802.11ax network adapter, the “high SNR” ALC4080 audio engine, studio-grade WIMA FKP2 audio capacitors, and DTS: X Ultra technology for high fidelity audio.
For ports and Vision LINK types of the respective motherboards, the Z590 VISION G has three PCIe x16 slots and support for one Gen4 x16 and two Gen3 x4 slots. It also has four M.2 slots with PCIe 4.0/3.0 interface and six SATA 6Gb/s ports, and Vision LINK as well. Meanwhile, the Z590 VISION D has two PCIe 4.0 x16 and x8 slots, two PCIe 3.0 x4 and x1 expansion slots, three M.2 PCIe 4.0/3.0 slots, and six SATA 6Gb/s ports. It has Vision LINK TB.
As for the Z590I VISION D, it has one PCIe 4.0 x16 slot, two M.2 PCIe 4.0/3.0 slots, four SATA 6Gb/s ports, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports. It also has the Q-Flash Plus feature for users to “flash a BIOS file without installing a CPU, RAM, GPU, and other peripherals”. It is the first ITX size motherboard in the VISION series.
