This week, we'll see the debut of a new FPS that works like CS:GO and a retro-themed console-style RPG. Oddworld's fourth title will be coming to next-gen consoles (PlayStation and Xbox) after it arrived on Switch in 2020.
CrossfireX
Similar to CS:GO, CrossfireX is an FPS, which features two opposing teams competing to complete game missions. In the Classic mode, the defending team must stop the attacking team from planting a bomb. In the Spectre mode, the attacking team will only be equipped with knives but they can remain invisible when they are not moving. Lastly, in the Modern mode, the two teams will fight to maintain control over two objective points in a map.
CrossfireX is an Xbox exclusive and will launch on 10 February.
Rise of the Third Power
Set in the land of Rin during the height of the Age of Sail, players will join a party of eight on a story-driven journey to topple Dimitri Noraskov, the Arkadyan Emperor. The game offers 8 playable characters, each with its own strengths and weaknesses that players can analyze to set the best formation. Equipment and weapons found, purchased, or stolen will be permanent. To replace their current weapons, players can purchase upgrades in the store, instead of a replacement.
Rise of the Third will be released on Steam, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, and PS4 on 10 February.
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath
Developed by Oddworld Inhabitants, Stranger's Wrath is an action-adventure game where players will play as a bounty hunter called Stranger. Playing from either first or third-person perspective, players are tasked to capture wanted outlaws, dead or alive. Players will use the third-person perspective when traveling long distances, platform jumping, rope climbing, and melee combat. Meanwhile, in the first-person perspective, players can use ranged weapons against enemies.
Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath will arrive on PlayStation and Xbox on 11 February.
