[Games Around The Corner] Week 38, 2021 - Dragon Ball, Detective, and Monsters

This week, Takayuki Yagami voiced by Takuya Kimura, will be making his return with a sequel while action game Death Stranding is getting a remastered version on PS5. Additionally, Goku and the Z-fighters are coming to Switch through Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

Based on the Dragon Ball franchise, Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot was originally launched in January 2020. The action RPG follows the story of Goku and the Z-fighters. As players progress through the game, they will be able to unlock playable characters, including Goku, Vegeta, Gohan, Piccolo, Future Trunks, Gotenks, and Vegito. Players will battle against iconic bosses like Raditz, Frieza, Cell, and more.

Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot will make its Switch debut on 24 September.

Lost Judgment

Lost Judgment is a sequel to 2018's Judgment, made by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio. The game follows private detective Takayuki Yagami's investigation of a criminal named Akihiro Ehara, who was accused of sexual harassment and murder. Assuming the role of Yagami, players will chase suspects across the cities of Kamurocho and Isezaki Ijincho.

During battles, players can switch between three fighting styles: crowd-control Crane style, one-to-one Tiger style, and counterattack Snake style. Players will also be aided by a Shiba Inu "Detective Dog" and a partner who's also a student, Kyoko Amazawa.

Lost Judgment will be launched on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on 24 September.

Death Stranding

"In the future, a mysterious event known as the death stranding has opened a doorway between the living and the dead, leading to creatures from the afterlife roaming the fallen world marred by a desolate society. As Sam Bridges, your mission is to deliver hope to humanity by connecting the last survivors of a decimated America. Can you reunite the shattered world, one step at a time?" the game description reads.

Death Stranding Director's Cut will let players experience Death Stranding with the addition of new content as well as enhanced gameplay features. Players can expect more weapons, equipment and vehicles, new modes, missions and areas to explore, expanded storylines, and enhancements to the UI compared to the original version on PS4. There will also be new online features like Friend Play and Leaderboard.

The PS4 version has previously won several awards including Game of the Year. Death Stranding Director's Cut will be released exclusively on PS5 on 24 September.
