This week's games are a mixed bag of tricks, with racing, "battle royale" and adventure titles thrown into the mix.
Skully
An exploration adventure game like no other, you will be playing as a skull. Yes, a skull. You're no ordinary skull though, as you have magical powers that allows you to transform into different elemental versions of yourself, each with different abilities. As Skully, your mission is to save an island threatened by a deity's quarreling siblings. This Sonic-esque game will be available on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, and you can check out the PC version on its Steam page for more information.
Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout
We warned you guys about the cute battle royale that was coming for your wallets, and the early reviews are raving about it. The open beta was a success, and pre-orders are flying off the e-shelves. With multiple different non-violent(ish) mini game modes for the whole family, you'd better get some of the action for yourself as it releases 4 August on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Fast & Furious Crossroads
While the movie franchise has always been a blockbuster, the gaming series for Fast & Furious hasn't always been a bestseller. Still, as BANDAI NAMCO helms the development and publishing of Crossroads, we'll see Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and Tyrese Gibson voice their characters in the game, as well as high-speed car chases to relive the movie experience. The verdict is still not in for the game, but you can have a look for yourself when it is released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on 7 August.
Steam Tactics for Switch
While Steam Tactics is not a new game, game developer Igor Rashkuev has ported the game, with all its steam machine glory into Nintendo Switch. The game is much more suitable for a Switch interface, and we'll be able to play as our cute high-flying corgis having turn-based dogfights in steampunk airships once again. Liked Fire Emblem? Well, this is a game for you.
