Free Fire Named "Esports Mobile Game of the Year" at the Esports Awards 2021

Free Fire has been named as the "Esports Mobile Game of the Year" at the Esports Awards 2021, holding the title for a second year. This year, Free Fire bagged home the title, fighting against other nominees, including PUBG Mobile, Arena of Valor, Mobile Legends, Call of Duty: Mobile, Brawl Stars, Clash Royale, and League of Legends: Wild Rift.

Justin Lye, Global Esports Manager of Garena shared that the team was "honoured and humbled" to receive the award and dedicated the win to Free Fire's global community in his acceptance speech. Besides the award, Free Fire has also established several achievements this year. It has set a new global esports record with over 5.4 million peak concurrent viewers for the Free Fire World Series 2021 Singapore and it's also the first mobile battle royale game to reach 1 billion downloads on the Google Play Store.
