ESL One Los Angeles Returns As An Online League

Two weeks ago, ESL One Los Angeles was cancelled due to health concerns regarding the coronavirus pandemic. The LAN tournament was set to be the third Major of the 2019-2020 Dota Pro Circuit Seasons, and the first that North America has seen in 3 years.

The 16 teams who initially qualified for the LA Major are all invited to the new online regional league format event, along with 18 additional teams selected based on their current Dota Pro Circuit rankings.


Although the new event will not help teams accrue DPC points, there will be a total prize pool of US$375,000 up for grabs.

Team Aster was originally set to compete, but had to give up their slot due to four of their players being in quarantine. After discussions with ESL One and PSG.LGD, the latter has agreed to take their place.
