After last week’s surprise Control giveaway, Epic Games Store is now offering two games for free in the form of chaotic co-op cooking game Overcooked! 2 and action-shooter platformer Hell is Other Demons.
Released in 2018, Overcooked! 2 has up to four players cooking up a variety of dishes to save the world from the threat of The Unbread. The game puts players in locations ranging from sushi restaurants to alien planets, and throws in elements like teleporters and dynamically-shifting kitchens to make things tricky for players. While the first game only had split-screen co-op, Overcooked! 2 offers online co-op as well, which is welcome given how things are at the moment.
Meanwhile, 2019’s Hell is Other Demons is a retro bullet hell experience with demons to slay, “insanely over-the-top boss fights”, and a synthwave soundtrack by Rémi Gallego. It offers a campaign as well as a procedurally generated high-score based Arcade Mode.
