Elon Musk has given employees their first task which is to revamp how Twitter verifies accounts by introducing paid verification on Twitter before the deadline or they will be fired. The new subscription is known as Twitter Blue, a $4.99 optional monthly subscription that unlocks additional features such as customizable app icons, the ability to undo or bookmark tweets, and so on (thanks BUSINESSINSIDER).
Whereas a more expensive subscription in which verified users have to pay $19.99 per month as reported by The Verge. Though the price is subject to change, employees who work on the project are told that they need to meet a deadline of November 7th or they will be fired.
Musk tweeted on October 31st that "The whole verification process is being revamped right now". However, it does not confirm by the company or spokesperson for Twitter has regarding the paid verification.
