ASUS just announced that they’ve teamed up with Noctua to release the new ASUS GeForce RTXTM 3080 Noctua Edition. This collaboration pairs ASUS’s high-performance graphics card with a newly tailored heatsink to go with the twin Noctua NF-A12x25 PWM fans for whisper quiet operation and excellent cooling.
This new model uses a quad-slot cooling system and runs 4.5 dB(A) quieter at typical auto-speed fan settings while achieving 3°C lower GPU temperatures and 14°C lower VRAM temperatures. At max speeds, typical in situations where the card might be poorly ventilated or high ambient temperatures, the reduction in noise levels is 8.6 dB(A) and the memory still runs 12°C cooler. It even improves on the already quiet ASUS TUF Gaming GPU by further reducing noise levels by 2.3dB(A).
