Asus has released a slew of new motherboards - the ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme, ROG Strix X570-E Gaming WiFi II, TUF Gaming X570Pro WiFi II, and the ProArt X570-Creator WiFi - as new additions to its X570 family.
ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme
The ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme motherboard features an 18+2 stage-design voltage regulator module (VRM) with 90 A power to run the 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 5950X processor. For cooling, it has a pair of aluminum heatsinks that are connected by a heat pipe to allow for efficient heat dissipation. There's also a 2-inch LiveDash OLED display on the M.2 heatsink that displays stats like temperatures and voltages. The motherboard also comes with overclocking features such as voltage measurement points, onboard controls, mode switches, and the Q-Code POST boot code.
It can support up to 5 PCIe 4.0 SSDs with the new Q-Latch mechanism. In terms of connectivity, it has 10G and 2.5G Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2. Additionally, it has two Thunderbolt 4 ports offering up to 40 Gbps of bandwidth each, a DisplayPort, eight USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports with one supporting BIOS FlashBack, four USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A ports, and two USB 3.2 Type-C ports with one offering 60 W Power Delivery 3.0 fast-charging support.
For extra cooling rigs, the ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme has four standard fan headers, two pairs of connectors for pumps and radiators, and two HydraNode headers which can support up to three compatible fans each. Users will also be able to customise the motherboard with three Gen 2 addressable RGB LED headers, a standard four-pin RGB connector, and an ARGB splitter.
The ROG Crosshair VIII Extreme motherboard is priced at RM4,199 with a 3+1 year warranty.
ProArt X570-Creator WiFi
The ProArt X570-Creator WiFi motherboard features two Thunderbolt 4 USB-C ports with 40 Gbps of bandwidth and 15 W Power Delivery charging support. Additionally, it also has a DisplayPort, four USB 3.2 Gen 2, and four USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports on the back, along with a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C internal header for the front panel. It also supports 10G and 2.5G Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2.
It has a 14+2 power design and ProCool II solid pin connectors for powerful CPUs. It can be customised with three Gen 2 addressable RGB headers and a standard RGB strip connector. The motherboard also includes the ASUS Control Center Express remote IT asset monitoring and management software which users can monitor and optimise its system via the ProArt Creator Hub application. It is suitable for working professionals who work extensively on their PC like 3D artists, CAD and CAM designers, audio and video producers, and even software developers.
The ProArt X570-Creator WiFi motherboard is priced at RM1,959 with a 3+1 year warranty.
ROG Strix X570-E Gaming WiFi II
The ROG Strix X570-E Gaming WiFi II motherboard comes with a 12+4 power design with ProCool II 8+4 pin auxiliary connectors. It has Dynamic OC Switcher technology which maximises single-threaded and multi-threaded performance with AMD Ryzen CPUs.
It has PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots that can support storage devices up to 110 mm long. In terms of connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, 2.5G Ethernet, and Gigabit Ethernet. On the rear, it has seven USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports and a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port. Meanwhile, the header has a USB 3.2 Gen 2 port, two USB 3.2 Gen 1 connectors, and four USB 2.0 connectors. The motherboard also comes with a two-way AI noise cancellation technology that clears background noise during gaming.
TUF Gaming X570Pro WiFi II
The TUF Gaming X570Pro WiFi II motherboard features a 12+2 DrMOS VRM and 8+4 pin ProCool auxiliary connectors. In addition to the aluminum heatsinks, it comes with a new passive chipset heatsink that cools the CPU and the X570 chipset. Each of its PCIe slots and M.2 slots has the Q-Latch to secure the SSD in place. It supports 2.5G Intel Ethernet, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.2. Users can further customise the motherboard with one Gen 2 addressable and two standard RGB headers.
