In case you're out of the loop, here's a quick catch-up: Under the ePenjana initiative, the government will be distributing RM50 in eWallet credit to all eligible Malaysians.
Are you eligible?
If you're aged 18 and above as of 31 December 2020, yes! You'll also have to have an annual income of less than RM100,000 - this will be verified by your LHDN records (where you file your taxes).
How to redeem?
You'll have to have the MySejahtera App installed - no ifs, ands, or buts. You can download it at the Google Play Store, Apple AppStore, and the HUAWEI AppGallery. Enter your personal details on the app and make sure they're accurate!
After that, you'll be eligible to redeem the RM50 eWallet credit within the Boost, Grab, or Touch 'n Go eWallet app. You can only pick one, so choose wisely! Do note that the app must be updated to the latest version, and your eWallet must be verified and match the details entered on the MySejahtera App before you can redeem the credit.
When will it be available?
It's already available as of now, and will remain so until 11.59pm on 24 September 2020. The RM50 credit must be completely spent by 11.59pm on 30 September 2020, after which any unused amount will be forfeited.
The eWallet credit can be used in any online and offline transactions, but cannot be transferred out to other ewallets, as the initiative aims to encourage cashless spending.
