A Keyboard AND Stream Deck in One? Corsair Unveils the K95 Platinum XT Mechanical Gaming Keyboard

Streamers are gonna LOVE this.

Corsair just unveiled a beefed up version of their flagship keyboard - the K95 Platinum XT mechanical gaming keyboard - which comes with built-in integration to Elgato's Stream Deck software.

Mmm, we love a clean setup

This allows you to program the Elgato Stream Deck software's special commands to the 6 dedicated macro keys on the side; meaning you can enjoy special streaming shortcuts such as starting/stopping stream, posting pre-programmed tweets, or creating clips and recordings, right from your keyboard.

It is a boon for creators looking for additional stream shortcuts, or basic users who don't require the full arsenal of keys a full-sized stream deck offers.

But if you just bought the regular K95 Platinum, don't cry just yet. This update includes previous variants of the K95, so you'll also be able to enjoy the benefits of Corsair and Elgato's beautiful marriage.

No K95 gets left behind

So what exactly is new with the K95 Platinum XT, if Elgato integration is available to its older siblings as well?

For starters, the XT edition comes with double-shot PBT keycaps, unlike its predecessor's ABS keycaps. This is already an excellent value-add, as PBT keycaps are significantly more durable and feel much nicer compared to the slick feel of ABS plastic.

The XT edition also comes with a leatherette wrist rest, as opposed to the soft-touch plastic of the regular edition. You'll also enjoy what seems to be an extra set of keycaps for the macro keys (pictured above.)

Hecc yeah, comfort

The Corsair K95 RGB Platinum XT mechanical gaming keyboard retails for USD199.99 (~RM821) - same as its predecessors, so expect the regular K95 to be phased out soon.

To the aforementioned people who bought a regular K95: you can cry now.
