Today, Acer officially launched a special edition Aspire Vero in Malaysia, in collaboration with National Geographic in its efforts to protect the world through exploration, research, and education.
In terms of design, the Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition features several diagonal lines running across approximately half of the laptop lid. Resembling a topographic map, the lines divide the surface into land and se, and allude to the impact of global warming on rising sea levels. At the bottom right corner of the keyboard, there's the iconic National Geographic yellow border and a message "For Planet Earth" engraved on the spacebar.
The laptop comes bundled with an inner partition that doubles as a triangular laptop stand while the special box packaging can be used as a decoration.
Meanwhile, the laptop itself is made of 85% recycled paper and 30% PCR plastic. The screen's bezel also uses 30% PCR plastic while the keycaps have 50%.
The National Geographic Edition is powered by the Intel Core i7 processor along with 16GB of DDR4 RAM and 1TB of NVMe SSD. Apart from that, it features a 15.6" FHD IPS display and offers USB-C and USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A ports, and an RJ-45 Ethernet port.
With a retail price of RM4,299, the Acer Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition will be available for pre-order starting from 1 May. It will come with Windows 11 and Microsoft Office Home & Student 2021 pre-installed.
Additionally, Acer Malaysia announced a new price tag for its Acer Aspire Vero with the Intel Core i7 and Core i5 models priced at RM3,699 and RM2,999 respectively starting from 1 May.
In conjunction with its efforts to save the Earth, Acer is offering a trade-in programme for you to trade in all working and non-functioning tablets, laptops, desktops, and AIO desktops. In return, Acer will be offering up to RM500 cash rebate for the purchase of the Acer Aspire Vero and the Acer Aspire Vero National Geographic Edition. The programme is valid from 1 May - 31 July.
